Robert Sanderson, MHSc(C), is the Planning and Evaluation Specialist at the Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU). Robert tells us how climate change impacts our health specifically looking at heat related events and air quality. We also learn about the on-going Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment project that is a collaboration between NWHU and 6 other public health units across northern Ontario.

Dr. Jesse Popp is the Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Environmental Science at Mount Allison University. Jesse tells us about a collaborative project that aims to connect guardians and/or communities in a changing world. She also touches on the other work she is doing that takes a two-eyed seeing approach in relation to climate change, specifically focusing on changes to moose populations.

In this talk, Laura shares how TRI and two Southern Alberta First Nations are weaving Indigenous and scientific knowledge to create Local Early Action Plans.
